Clean Water Farm Award Grand Basin Winner

The 2024 Clean Water Farm Award Grand Basin for New-Yadkin River Basin awarded to The Jennings Farm. The award honors farmers who implement great conservation practices and contribute to the preservation of water quality.

The New River SWCD is accepting bids until 12PM on Friday, May 24, 2024, via mail to the District office: New River SWCD, 200 Jacks Orchard Road, Galax, VA 24333 or email to: ecoomes.newriver@gmail.com. Minimum bid starting at $2,000. Approximately 8,000 acres and comes with assorted parts. For more information contact the office at (276) 601-6163.

The New River SWCD welcomes the public to the Grand Opening of New River Hill Farm & Forest on Friday, April 12, at 10 AM. The ceremony will be held at the new parking lot located at 2140 Englewood Rd, Galax, VA 24333.

Recognizing 5 Years of Service
September 2023

On September 20th, 2023, Brandon Tomlinson was recognized for 5 years of service at the New River Soil and Water Conservation District. The dedication that Brandon shows serves as a vital role that drives our District. We take pride in his accomplishments and commitment. The District looks forward to seeing all the great things we know he will fulfill in the upcoming years! Congratulations on achieving this anniversary!
